| Bio: | Name: Magnar Maximoff Age: 17 August 14, 2015. Family: Pietro Maximoff, father. Crystal, mother. Abilities / Skills: Magnar has control over the elements, being able to use this to his advantage in battle by being able to run on water, up the sides of trees or buildings, leap great distances, speed himself up or slow others down. He does have limits to his powers, but is still learning them. To supplement his mutant abilities, Magnar has learned several different forms of self defense and martial arts, using them in along with his powers in a selfmade form of mixed martial arts that proves very effective in hand-to-hand combat. For a going away present, he was given a pup from the newest litter of dogs descended from the Inhuman's teleporting dog, Lockjaw. The pup, who Magnar named Mutt, also has Lockjaw's teleporting abilities. Magnar has a soft spot for the pup, overlooking his various shortcomings, such as drooling and liking to chew shoes. Personality: Because of his Inhuman royal lineage and his relation to Magneto, Magnar sees himself as something of royalty, even if no one else does. He can come off to others as being pretentious. He doesn't bother with making friends unless he sees the person as worthwhile. Though he isn't nearly as picky when looking for partners to spend an evening with. Despite his pickiness concerning friends, Magnar is intensly loyal to the ones he makes. He has a quick temper and tends to hold grudges against those who offend him. Magnar has a dislike of humans, or rather for the human's intolerance of other species, including mutants and Inhumans. He takes this to an extreme, claiming that humans are useless and that because of thier lack of special abiliites are an evolutionary deadend and therefore not worthwhile. There are flaws in his logic, of course, as his sister Luna is powerless. But he would be the first one to rise to protect her if needed. Because he was raised on the moon with the Inhumans, and only made brief trips to Earth throughout his childhood, there is much about Earth culture and technology that Magnar is ignorant about. He is also accustomed to having servants, and having to do things for himself will prove to be a challenge for him at times. He sees himself as someting of a 'bad boy', liking that image for himself. Some of the things he's done, such as the tattoos and the piercings, have been to get attention. His mother niavely thinks that Magnar is just a normal kid and the wild things he does at times are "just a phase" and that he'll "grow out of it". A lot of the reasons behind Magnar's choices is that he simply hasn't learned how to think before he acts. History: Magnar Maximoff was the result of a brief reconciliation between the former Avenger Pietro Maximoff and his ex-wife the Inhuman Crystal. He was unexpected, yet welcomed by his parents, who at the time were getting along and hoping his birth would help to heal things between the two troubled lovers. It worked for a short while, but Pietro's own ambitions and emotional scars got the better of him, and he could only stay with his wife and children for so long before going back to seeking more from life, a greater destiny that he felt he had which did not include raising a family. Magnar saw his father only occasionally growing up, spending his youth with the Inhumans at their home at the time on the blue area of the moon. Magnar learned about Earth and it's culture, but didn't often get to experience it. Though Crystal was estranged from Pietro, she did keep in touch with his sister Wanda and Clint Barton, both of whom she'd fought alongside years ago as part of the Avengers. She made sure that Magnar knew his family as best as he could, which meant trips to visit his Aunt Wanda and his cousins. But despite this, the boy missed his father someting terrible, and on the infrequent occasions that they would have time together, Magnar would soak up everything that his father had to say to him like a sponge with water. When Magnar began to show mutant tendencies in his teens, Crystal had to decide how to proceed. She wanted to keep him close, but she also knew that there was only so much he could learn from the Inhumans about his abilities and that he eventually would have to go learn from the mutants. But Crystal held onto her son for as long as possible before arranging for him to go to the school in New York at the age of seventeen. She tried her best to prepare him, thinking and hoping that he would easily learn the rest on his own. She always did think a little too well of her son. Team: New Mutants Etc: Physical description: Magnar is of average heigth, and is a bit on the thin side, but very well msucularly defined, having a runner's body type. He takes good care of his body, both with grooming and exercise. He has light blonde hair and blue eyes. He has several tattoos on his arms, phrases and words in the Inhuman language. Magnar has his ears pierced twice and just recently had his tongue done. Mutt: Mutt is Magnar's teleporting puppy. Mutt is descended from Lockjaw and was a going away present from his mother, so he could always easily visit home whenever he wants. The puppy is used for other things as well, of course. Though Magnar wasn't fond of having to be responsible for someone other than himself (and even being responsible for himself is more than he bargained for!), Magnar quickly grew fond of the pup. Mutt's loud when he needs or wants something, he drools, he smells, and likes to chew things he shouldn't, but Magnar has grown to think he's just perfect. PB: Toby Hemingway | |||||||||
